It’s that time of year in Clearwater Florida! Just when I think there’s no end in sight to this heat, the mornings feel a little cooler and the water temperatures start to drop. This signals the start of Kingfish season for us, as well as the transition into better fishing closer to shore. This week we’ve seen an increase in bait pods that are usually the first sign of good things to come. The Hogfish bite has been picking up already and we’re seeing Gag Grouper starting to move shallower. Even starting to see some Cobia on the deeper wrecks!
