Red Snapper season is upon us and the fishing has been good so far. The longer charters offshore are catching solid limits of Red Snapper, Red Grouper and some bonus Mahi and tuna mixed in. The Mangrove snapper bite also continues to be decent with some quality fish being caught in between Grouper stops.
On the shorter offshore trips we are catching a few Hogfish still but that will likely slow down as the water temperatures rise. The Mangrove snapper has been good on the shorter trips and even a few keeper red grouper have been showing up.
For catch and release its been great fishing for Amberjack, Barracuda, Sharks and Goliath Grouper.
Inshore, our Captains has=ve been catching plenty of Redfish and Trout with a few Snook to be had as well. The Tarpon fishing has slowed up as the majority of those fish will be leaving our area.
