Fall is officially here and the bite has been red hot for both boats. The full day Deep sea fishing charters have been enjoying plenty of keeper Red Grouper, Lane Snapper, Amberjack and even a few Cobia. This is an 8 or 10 hour trip and is best booked if you are looking to keep a lot of fish or just want to experience the bigger fish species the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. On our 6 hour charters expect Kingfish, Hogfish, Grunts, Porgies and Gag Grouper. These trips are nice because of the variety and amount of fish caught. Not all are huge but it’s plenty of action and a good way to experience some deep sea fishing. The 1/2 days we are mainly targeting Kingfish and Spanish Mackerel, as these fish have moved in relatively close to the beaches so we have a lot of fishing time.
On the inshore side, expect Redfish, Snook and Trout to be caught. The Tripletail have also been consistent and should continue to get better. If Sharks are of interest, there are also opportunities to catch Blacktips and Bonnetheads on the grass flats, these are not huge man eaters, but definitely fun to catch on light tackle.
