Cooling water temperatures and bait schools migrating south signal the beginning of King Mackerel season along Florida’s Gulf Coast. Clearwater is located in west central Florida making it a perfect location for anglers to target the speedy Kingfish. Typically our run of King’s starts in mid October, but with water and air temp’s already falling this year may see an early start. Along with King’s the Hogfish and Gag Grouper love the change of temperatures and will absolutely be on our target list. With the relatively short run to the fishing grounds we will se good numbers of fish on the deep sea 3/4 day charters and even the 1/2 days. Both of our boats can access the Kingfishing as long as the weather is right for the occasion. On the inshore charters, we are expecting the excellent Redfishing to continue while the Snook and Trout fishing will ramp up considerably. All and all it’s a great time to get outside and enjoy the cooler temps and great fishing.
